Salesforce unveiled a next-generation analytics platform, the Agentic Analytics Platform, targeting the era of AI agents at "Tableau Conference 2026" in San Diego, it said on Wednesday.

The platform supports AI agents in deriving insights based on trusted business context and linking them to actual work execution. Salesforce said it aims to shift corporate data analytics from a dashboard-centric approach to knowledge-based decision-making and execution.

At the core of the platform is a "knowledge engine". Built on 33 million semantic models accumulated over more than 10 years, it helps AI agents understand corporate data structures and business meaning. Salesforce said it also strengthened data compatibility through the "Open Semantic Interchange" project in collaboration with Snowflake and dbt Labs.

With "conversational analytics" and "headless analytics" functions, users can immediately use analysis results in work environments such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Claude and ChatGPT by asking questions in natural language.

A "decision engine" supports functions including notifying responsible staff, creating cases and running workflows when it detects major changes such as a drop in customer satisfaction or sales risks.

The "Agentic Analytics Command Center" provides an environment to secure visibility into AI agents' data access, analysis and execution history, and to manage security and governance.

Mark Recher (마크 레처), head of the Tableau business, said, "The role of analysts is also expanding into an area of designing the direction of corporate decision-making and execution based on trusted data."

Park Se-jin (박세진), head of Salesforce Korea, said, "The knowledge engine will play a key role by linking corporate business data so AI agents can understand it and supporting the entire process from data analysis to execution."
