SOOP will take charge of producing and running the 'Esports World Cup (EWC) LCK Qualifiers' and providing multilingual live coverage, as teams compete for tickets to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
SOOP said on May 4 it will operate the EWC LCK qualifiers through May 26 and live-stream all matches.
EWC is a club-based esports tournament held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the League of Legends (LoL) event, defending champion Gen.G Esports will participate as an invited team, and 2 more teams will advance to EWC through the qualifiers.
The qualifiers will be held online on May 4, 5, 12, 18 and 19. The final matches on May 25 and 26 will be held offline at the SOOP Colosseum in Sangam. The ticket sales schedule will be announced later.
The Korean broadcast team includes casters Minjun Chae (채민준) and Gyuhwan Kim (김규환), and commentators Dongjun Kim (김동준) and 'Prince' Chaehwan Lee (이채환). SOOP will provide exclusive live broadcasts in Korean, as well as exclusive live coverage in English, Chinese (traditional) and Vietnamese. In Vietnam, it plans to distribute the broadcast through its local partner, On Live Platform.
