Snap Chief Executive Evan Spiegel (에반 스피겔) said AI is rapidly changing how the company operates.
On April 29, Business Insider reported that Spiegel appeared on the Cheeky Pint podcast and said AI development tools, including Anthropic's Claude, are advancing quickly. He said AI is writing more than two-thirds of new code.
He said Claude is changing software development across Snap's organisation and that the change happened very quickly. He said he is surprised by how fast model performance is improving.
Spiegel said as software development becomes easier, the way companies allocate resources will also change. He said more companies will put more resources into distribution, meaning promoting products to users, than into engineering. He said companies will cut resources in areas such as software engineering and reallocate them to distribution for faster growth. Spiegel said as software development becomes easier, competing products are also becoming abundant, and standing out to users is becoming more important at this point.
