AIM Intelligence raises 10 billion won in Series A to target global AI security market

AI security company AIM Intelligence said on Thursday it has raised 10 billion won in Series A funding. Samsung Venture Investment joined as the lead investor, and four firms participated in total, including existing investor Mirae Asset Capital and new investors Forest Ventures and Smilegate Investment.

AIM Intelligence is focused on supporting integrated security management across a range of AI areas including large language models, AI agents and physical AI.

It supports raising security levels through a so-called “spear and shield” cycle, including a red team solution that finds vulnerabilities in AI models and underlying services and a guardrails solution that sets safeguards to prevent risky behavior by AI.

The company plans to use the investment to hire key talent and advance its solutions, accelerating global market entry and expansion of its B2B business. Its strategy is to boost its technology through an expanded automated AI red-teaming platform and a B2B SaaS-style AI guardrails solution to a level that corporate customers can adopt immediately without complex security settings.

CEO Sang-yoon Yoo (유상윤) said, “With the adoption of generative AI accelerating recently, AI security has now become an essential survival strategy, not a choice.” He added, “AIM Intelligence will go beyond simple security diagnostics to create a ‘global standard for AI safety’ that manages all risks arising in companies’ AI innovation processes.”
