[Digital Today reporter Ho-jung Lee (이호정)] Com2uS said on March 30 it will develop a new game based on the Japanese anime 'I Left an A-Rank Party and Aim for the Depths of the Labyrinth with My Former Students' (A Rank Party).
Com2uS signed a licensing agreement with Kodansha, the IP rights holder, and is pushing ahead with development and global publishing of an 'A Rank Party' game. It plans to expand the IP experience into game content.
A Rank Party is an IP that has been released as a light novel and comic and has surpassed 1.8 million copies in cumulative series sales. It is an adventure and fantasy story in which the protagonist, a red mage named Yuke, leaves a top-tier party and challenges the depths of a labyrinth with former students. A second season of the TV anime is currently in production.
The game development news was announced on March 29 at AnimeJapan 2026 in Tokyo. Voice actors from the anime appeared on the central stage at the Com2uS booth, and the game development project was unveiled on a screen.
A teaser video of about 1 minute shown at the event features Yuke, the protagonist of A Rank Party, and his students, Rain and Marina.
Com2uS also ran stage events, demonstrations and interactive events at AnimeJapan 2026, including an announcement of the A Rank Party game adaptation and new titles in development such as 'Doan Ongwi Crimson Inferno' and 'Gachiakuta: The Game' (working title). Com2uS plans to roll out its lineup of new anime-based titles in sequence and strengthen its push into global markets.
