Woori Investment Securities said on March 27 it held a launch ceremony on March 25 at its Yeouido headquarters for the second phase of its social contribution programme, the “With Woori Wealth Project”, to help vulnerable young people become independent and manage asset formation.

After supporting 40 youths preparing for independence in the first phase, the second phase will focus on 34 young caregivers who nurse family members and are responsible for their households’ livelihoods.

Financial experts from Woori Investment Securities will take part as instructors. They will teach basics of asset management for young workers and how to use financial products, and provide support for healthy independence by serving as financial consultants to help improve practical financial management capabilities.

Young people who faithfully complete the entire programme will receive personalised one-on-one asset-building consulting and an asset-building grant of 1.5 million won, funded by designated donations from the Community Chest of Korea.

Chief Executive Nam Ki-cheon (남기천) said, “Woori Investment Securities will be a reliable helper for young people.” He said the company will continue to increase the programme’s sustainability and effectiveness through close communication and collaboration with partner institutions.
