Intel and NCSOFT said on Jan. 5 they have launched the AION 2 Gaming Collab PC, a desktop optimized for AION 2. The companies said they designed the specifications and configuration so gamers can feel the results of performance optimization during play.

The product uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor and an Nvidia RTX 5070 discrete graphics card. Intel provided NCSOFT's development team with performance optimization guidelines for using Intel Thread Director technology. NCSOFT's development team used Intel VTune Profiler to analyze performance bottlenecks in the game and optimized code to use CPU resources efficiently.

P-cores handle key tasks such as rendering, while E-cores handle parallel processing tasks such as physics simulation and particle effects. The operating system and Intel Thread Director can recognise game loads and allocate CPU resources. This led to improved frame rates and reduced heat.

Customers who buy the PC will receive character appearance change rights, special items and buff items. The product will be sold through Compuzone and Cinexzone. The companies plan to hold promotions and events to mark the launch of the collab PC.

Jumin Kyu said Intel has worked with NCSOFT for more than 10 years on PC gaming performance and that AION 2 also delivered performance optimized for Intel processors through technical cooperation. He said the AION 2 Collab PC was planned as a system to deliver optimal performance to gamers.
