NHN Cloud said on March 26 it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with NHN Dooray and DB Inc. to jointly promote cloud and digital transformation (DX) and AI-based work innovation optimised for the financial environment.

NHN Cloud said the signing ceremony was held at DB Inc.'s headquarters in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Attendees included Hee-do Heo (허희도), vice president of NHN Cloud's cloud business division; Hyeong-min Park (박형민), director of NHN Dooray's Dooray business unit; and Seong-kyeong Kim (김성경), vice president of DB Inc.'s DX business division, among other key officials.

DB Inc. is a systems integration (SI) company affiliated with DB Group. It has handled IT consulting and system 구축 and operations across industries including finance, insurance and manufacturing.

Under the agreement, the three companies agreed to support a stable transition of core group services based on cloud infrastructure suited to the financial environment. They also decided to focus on advancing a medium- to long-term DX vision and refining cloud-based innovation strategies.

They will also work to innovate the group's work environment, centred on NHN Dooray's AI-based collaboration platform. The plan is to boost collaboration efficiency through an integrated work system covering key functions such as messaging, email, projects and electronic approvals, and to promote higher productivity across overall work processes.

An NHN Cloud official said the agreement would allow the company to provide cloud usage models optimised for customers' work characteristics and operating environments. An NHN Dooray official said it would focus on building an optimised collaboration environment to raise work efficiency and productivity.
