Fasoo U.S. unit to merge with AI firm Konsilix, target global AX

Fasoo will merge its U.S. unit with a local AI specialist and step up its push into the global AI market.

Fasoo said on March 23 it will merge its U.S. unit with U.S. AI platform and consulting company Konsilix and newly establish an enterprise AI specialist, Symbologic.

Konsilix, which will merge with Fasoo’s U.S. unit, is an enterprise AI platform and consulting company co-founded by enterprise AI expert Rob Marano (롭 마라노), who has worked at PwC, AWS and Google Cloud, along with the CTO of Trellus Health and a former Accenture Industry X member.

Konsilix supports AI adoption by mid-sized and growth companies, highlighting a lightweight, high-efficiency AI architecture optimised for mid-market companies and rapid deployment.

Symbologic plans to combine Fasoo’s data management and security capabilities and AI portfolio with Konsilix’s specialist staff, AI consulting and services to actively target global markets centred on the United States. It will first provide specialist consulting and AI, data and governance solutions for customers that must address two key challenges: achieving AX and AI security threats.

Fasoo’s U.S. unit and Konsilix plan to sign a final agreement and complete the merger by late April. Marano, currently Konsilix CEO, will serve as Symbologic’s inaugural CEO.

Fasoo CEO Kyoo-gon Jo (조규곤) said Fasoo, which has led the global data security and management market, has recently been transforming into a company that supports customer AX, and the U.S. unit merger is being carried out as part of that shift. He said he hopes for expectations for Symbologic’s push into the AI market as Fasoo’s strong competitiveness in AI, data and security meets Konsilix’s specialist staff and consulting capabilities.
