Wind River, an Aptiv subsidiary that provides intelligent edge software, said on March 16 it appointed Kim Young-nam (김영남) as head of its Korea branch.

Before joining Wind River, Kim worked with key customers in automotive and embedded systems at Freescale and NXP Semiconductors. After joining Wind River in 2016, he led strategic sales initiatives for major customers in Korea and overseas as head of the automotive market.

Kim said he would focus on strengthening collaboration across domestic organisations in line with Wind River's global vision and strategic priorities, and on building a foundation for sustainable growth. He said he would actively seek new growth opportunities in cloud and enterprise, based on strengths built in the existing embedded market, and expand the company's presence in the domestic market.
