[DigitalToday reporter Ho-jung Lee] Kakao Entertainment's global K-culture fan platform Berriz said on Thursday it is launching and exclusively selling the Samsung Lions' 2026 kids membership kit using Kakao Friends intellectual property (IP).
The newly released Samsung Lions 2026 kids membership kit features a design that maximises a lovable and cute appeal using the Lions' mascot Laon and Kakao Friends' popular character Little Ryan. Reflecting the tastes of young fans, it is made up of five items: a uniform, baseball cap, PVC clear backpack, raincoat and kids passport, to build a sense of belonging, add to the fun of attending games and help record memories of watching matches.
The collaboration is the first project unveiled since the two companies signed an MD partnership, maximising synergy by combining Kakao Entertainment's planning capabilities with the Samsung Lions' strong fandom. Kakao Entertainment reinterpreted the team's identity from the perspective of young fans, highlighting the witty and friendly Little Ryan and the team's symbolic colour, blue, while using character-focused visuals and bright colours to help children naturally engage with the team's identity.
It also added collectible value beyond simple goods by making it an iconic limited-planning product so young fans can fully experience the joy of sports with their families. With a range of unusual items, it aims to offer familiarity to children new to baseball and new enjoyment to existing fans.
Berriz will begin exclusive pre-orders from Feb. 24 on the Berriz Lions Team Store online mall on the global K-culture fan platform Berriz.
