French cryptocurrency wallet developer Ledger has integrated OKX DEX into its wallet app, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 10.
The integration allows Ledger users to execute multichain token swaps directly while maintaining a hardware-based security environment, without going through an external decentralised exchange (DEX) interface.
Transactions are signed directly on Ledger devices, and private keys do not leave the hardware wallet. A Ledger spokesperson said the OKX DEX integration will be rolled out in phases and will initially be available to about 20 percent of Ledger Wallet users. No separate firmware or app update is required.
At launch, swaps are available on 6 networks: Ethereum (ETH), Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), Base (BASE), Polygon (POL) and BNB Chain (BNB). It does not support cross-chain or cross-seed swaps.
