Alibaba has unveiled an AI model, RynnBrain, that helps robots understand and identify their surroundings, CNBC reported on Monday.
Alibaba released RynnBrain as open source so developers can use it for free.
RynnBrain targets the physical AI field, which includes robotics technologies such as autonomous vehicles.
Beyond Alibaba, Nvidia is developing robot AI models under the Cosmos brand, and Google DeepMind has Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5.
Tesla, led by Elon Musk (일론 머스크), is also stepping up development of AI robots through Tesla Optimus. China is seen as ahead of the United States in humanoid robots and plans mass production this year, CNBC reported.
