[Digital Today reporter Daegeon Seok] Samsung Electronics' medical device business division and Samsung Medison are unveiling a range of new products at the Middle East's largest medical exhibition. The two companies said on Monday they will globally launch the new V4 and EvoQ10 ultrasound systems at WHX Dubai 2026 in Dubai and introduce the premium R20 ultrasound in the Middle East for the first time.
The V4 is the world's first fanless ultrasound diagnostic device, applying a system-level passive cooling structure to deliver high-performance computing and stable thermal control without a cooling fan. It blocks outside air and dust from entering the device, extending its lifespan and providing a test environment without fan noise. It is a next-generation device that integrates circuit design and mechanical structure into a single system based on Intel's latest NPU. It cut power consumption by 35 percent from existing models while maintaining high resolution.
The EvoQ10 is a laptop-style product targeting the point-of-care market by improving the portability of the V4. It delivers high resolution and AI functions in a compact size, enabling accurate and rapid diagnosis in emergency, outpatient and mobile care settings. It minimized protruding elements on the touchscreen and controls and obtained IP22 water-resistance certification, improving convenience for disinfection and management.
In X-ray, the companies will introduce the GC85 Vision+ and GM85, which lower radiation dose and improve screening efficiency. The GM85 adds an Anatomy Clipping Check function that verifies the imaging area in real time. They will also unveil the glass-free detector F3025-AW, which has been reduced in weight to 1.5 kg. It is a high-resolution product capable of depicting fine structures such as the small organs of infants and young children.
A Samsung AI symposium will also be held during the exhibition. Vito Cantisani (비토 칸티사니), vice dean of the Department of Radiology at Sapienza University of Rome, will share clinical use cases of Samsung's AI diagnostic assistance functions in liver and abdominal diagnosis. Obstetrician and gynecologist Hisham Mirhani (히샴 미르하니) is set to demonstrate a live scan using the premium Hera Z20 ultrasound.
Samsung plans to expand cooperation and seek business opportunities during the exhibition with hospitals, government agencies, local partners and distributors in the Middle East. Kyu-tae Yoo (유규태), head of Samsung Electronics' medical device business division and chief executive of Samsung Medison, said, "The Middle East is an important strategic market for Samsung's medical device business." He said, "The goal of this exhibition is to contribute to improving the competitiveness of local healthcare partners with diagnostic solutions based on advanced AI technology and to create meaningful growth in the Middle East market."
