Krafton's PUBG: Battlegrounds on Monday released a ninth-anniversary collaboration song and music video with Allday Project.
The collaboration track, "I DON’T BARGAIN", is a song that expresses in a musical narrative the philosophy of survival that Battlegrounds has maintained unchanged as it marks its ninth anniversary. It incorporates key values that symbolize Battlegrounds in its lyrics, including "survival", an "underdog spirit" and an "uncompromising attitude toward winning". The declarations "I don’t bargain" and "I don't partake with them fakes" symbolize a player's attitude of not compromising in any situation, and convey a tribute to fans who have shared the battlefield over the past 9 years.
The music video opens with the line, "I don’t bargain". Set against the Battlegrounds battlefield, Allday Project members appear in sequence, and the mood builds as the members' performances alternate with intense combat scenes. It ends with the appearance of Battlegrounds' iconic level 3 helmet featuring ninth-anniversary congratulatory messages from fans worldwide.
The collaboration was planned to go beyond a simple partnership, at a point where the Battlegrounds universe and Allday Project's musical identity meet. Vinz, a singer and producer at The Black Label, and Allday Project members took part directly in writing the lyrics, adding sincerity to the message and completing the philosophy shared by games and music as a single narrative. Battlegrounds is expanding its points of contact with fans worldwide through a range of content.
