Cloud and artificial intelligence specialist Namu Tech said on Feb. 9 that regenerative medicine company L&C Bio has adopted its AI agent-based production automation solution, NAA.
The adoption was 추진됐다 to raise production operating efficiency by analyzing information from bio and medical device manufacturing sites with AI. A key feature is the use of natural-language AI for major tasks including inventory and purchasing management and records of human tissue transplant results, improving data usability.
L&C Bio will link existing manufacturing execution system, or MES, data with NAA. Staff can check real-time production status by asking everyday questions without complex data processing. The company expected this to reduce the burden of repetitive work and improve production operating efficiency.
Namu Tech implemented the NAA platform in an on-premises high-performance graphics processing unit, or GPU, infrastructure environment. It applied a small language model, or SLM, specialized for bio manufacturing to increase response reliability, and it also put in place a permission-setting system to protect sensitive information.
L&C Bio plans to use the NAA adoption to raise productivity even with the same staffing and equipment, improve its cost structure and increase operating profit. The two companies agreed to gradually expand the scope of AI use in bio manufacturing.
Jung Cheol (정철), chief executive of Namu Tech, called it a best-practice case of applying an AI agent to a medical device manufacturing site and said the company would expand the automation model to various manufacturing industries.
Lee Hwan-cheol (이환철), chief executive of L&C Bio, said improvements in production efficiency would lead to tangible business results including sales growth and a higher operating profit margin.
