Viva Republica, operator of the Toss app, said on Sunday the number of partner mini apps on its mini app platform, App in Toss, has surpassed 1,000. 1

The milestone comes about 7 months after its official launch in July, and about 10 months after it first introduced a mini app inside the Toss app. Since the official launch, an average of 4.8 mini apps a day have flowed into the Toss ecosystem, and cumulative users have surpassed 51 million.

The company said games, which drove App in Toss’ early growth, have established themselves as a clear growth model in the industry. A representative example is Manababa, which developed the game Doldoldi. The company surpassed 210 million won in monthly sales after partnering with App in Toss.

Non-game categories are also expanding rapidly. Non-game mini apps account for more than 60 percent of the total and are expanding into a range of areas including daily life, health and AI. It also found that 95 percent of partners that joined App in Toss over the past 10 months are still operating their services.

A Toss official said, "In the case of the 'Ddojjonku Map,' which has recently drawn significant attention, partnership discussions through mini app development and launch were completed in just 1 day." The official added, "We will continue to build an ecosystem where anyone with an idea can quickly and lightly roll out an app, and contribute to creating a social atmosphere that makes it easier to start a business."
