Samsung Electronics has unveiled a portable projector featuring AI screen-optimization technology. Samsung Electronics said on Thursday it will showcase the AI portable projector, The Freestyle+, at the CES 2026 First Look event in Las Vegas. The product is designed to provide an optimized image even on non-flat surfaces, and its AI screen-optimization technology allows projection onto various surfaces including walls, ceilings, floors, corners and curtains.

The 3D Auto Keystone feature makes real-time corrections to a rectangular image when projecting onto three-sided corners or curved curtains. Screen Calibration analyzes wall patterns with AI when projecting onto patterned walls to minimize elements that interfere with viewing. Real-time Focus corrects adjustment noise and blurred focus in real time when the screen angle changes.

Screen Fit automatically adjusts the screen position, size and angle with AI when using a dedicated screen. It supports 430 ISO lumens, about twice as bright as the previous model, providing a clear picture even under indirect lighting. AI adjusts the image by analyzing the projection environment.

Samsung Electronics has equipped The Freestyle+ with Vision AI Companion, an integrated AI platform supported on TVs and monitors. Users can use AI agents such as Bixby, Copilot and Perplexity. They can get AI answers to questions including movie recommendations, travel planning, sports match results and analysis of corporate performance.

Vision AI Companion interacts with users to understand their requirements and provide services. This enables AI-based personalized services on a portable projector.

Lee Heon, vice president of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said The Freestyle+ is a true AI portable screen that advances hyper-personalization tailored to the user's environment and content. He said the company will continue to work to expand viewing experiences by focusing on customer user experience.
