[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Hancom is recruiting participants for a project-based learning group called 'AI-dea Crew' to support employees’ voluntary efforts to strengthen AI capabilities and to identify creative ideas.

AI-dea Crew is a program designed to help employees directly use AI tools in their work and daily lives and learn their usefulness for themselves, as part of Hancom’s AI internalisation strategy. The project will run for 3 months from March. Participants can join in teams of up to 3 people, and a solo crew option is also available.

Hancom does not require participants to produce perfect results. It will recognise completion of the project simply by sharing the process of improving inefficiencies in work or daily life using AI tools. The company said it is intended to encourage employees to explore AI flexibly, with an emphasis on experience rather than performance.

Hancom will provide up to 300,000 won per person in activity expenses, which can be used for AI courses or paid tool subscriptions. It will also support team dinner costs to help build teamwork. After the activities end, it plans to hold a networking party for participants to provide a festival-like wrap-up. Outstanding crews will also receive special awards following a separate review.

Hancom CEO Yeon-su Kim (김연수) said, "AI-dea Crew is not simply to make people do work, but an employee growth program to create an environment where members can become familiar with AI and grow." He added, "I expect Hancom’s own AI DNA will naturally be internalised through the process of enjoying studying and trying things together with colleagues."
