AI-based video production platform Mito Films has raised $4.5 million in funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, SiliconANGLE reported on Thursday.
Mito provides AI-based tools that let video makers, brands and creators collaborate in real time. Danny Saltaren (대니 살타렌), Mito's co-founder and chief product officer, said the company uses AI to automate cumbersome production processes so creators can focus on creativity. He described Mito as a platform that combines human sensibility with advanced AI technology.
Mito offers functions that use AI models tailored to a range of video production settings, including TV, film, advertising, music videos and news. Users can build each scene independently and use AI to construct a narrative. The company said this offers an experience closer to directing than simple editing.
Competition in the AI video market is also intensifying. Adobe is strengthening its AI-based video tools through its Firefly model, and Google launched its AI-based collaborative video production studio Flow last year. Startup Moonvalley has also introduced an AI video model for advertising and film production.
