Hancom Inostream, a subsidiary of Hancom, said on Friday it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Innosecurity to strengthen information security service capabilities.

Under the agreement, the two companies plan to strengthen their cooperation framework by linking technical expertise and sales capabilities. They aim to generate tangible business results across information security services, including security vulnerability assessments, for public agencies and private companies.

The companies plan to pursue a range of cooperation tasks, including sharing information to improve mutual understanding. They also plan to conduct vulnerability assessment work for infrastructure and web and app targets, along with joint sales and technical support related to information security services. They said they will build a sustainable cooperation model.

Hancom Inostream provides IT services and digital transformation projects for public and corporate customers. It has accumulated diverse project experience and execution capabilities. It plans to use the agreement to expand its business into information security and strengthen the competitiveness of related services.

Innosecurity is a Ministry of Science and ICT-designated information security specialist services company. It provides information security vulnerability assessments and security consulting services.

Choi Seong (최성), chief executive of Hancom Inostream, said, "Through this agreement, we will create visible cooperation results in the field of information security services and, based on this, strengthen competitiveness across the information security market." He added, "We will expand the scope of cooperation in stages to build a long-term partnership and advance a cooperation model that can respond to the changing security environment."
