Aseong Daiso said on Wednesday it will run a “Daiso x Trend Korea 2026” planning exhibition. The exhibition is based on four consumer keywords presented in South Korea’s consumer trend book “Trend Korea 2026”: Ready-core, Feelconomy, Geunbonism and Pixelated Life. It includes about 150 new products.
“Ready-core” refers to a consumer tendency to prepare and manage in advance for an uncertain future. Reflecting the keyword, Daiso will introduce a planner line from stationery brand Motemote and 3M Post-it Schedule Mate products. The Motemote diet planner is designed to record not only weight and body fat, but also sleep time and water and coffee intake. The travel planner is designed to manage everything from travel plans to expenses and trip records. It also includes lifestyle-tailored items such as a beauty planner and a pet walk diary.
“Feelconomy” is a consumer trend that prioritises emotional satisfaction over function and efficiency. Self-care and healing-focused products have been placed in the line-up. A bath project bath additive line with colourful designs and pillow mist products are newly introduced. Butterlabel bubble bath can be used for bath art or bubble baths, and the hinoki, lavender and bergamot-scented pillow mists are products that help with rest and a change of mood. It also includes kneadable toys that can ease tension by squeezing by hand.
It also reflected the “Geunbonism” trend, which focuses on long-standing values rather than fast trends. Daiso will introduce limited-edition products that recreate packaging from the time of launch, following its moon jar series and traditional concept items. Mugunghwa laundry soap, the country’s first laundry soap, and Taehwa rubber gloves reproduced their original packaging and primary-colour designs. Snacks such as Pepero, Choco Pie and Matdongsan are also offered in early packaging versions, and can also be used as set products under an old-fashioned snack bundle concept.
“Pixelated Life” is a keyword reflecting a consumer tendency to try small choices quickly. Daiso expanded its lineup of small-volume and mini-size products, following VT Reedle Shot, which has been cited as a representative sold-out item. LG Household & Health Care capsule detergent has been released in a small pack of 6 so customers can try different scents without 부담, and liquid detergent and fabric softener are also offered in 200 ml mini sizes. Stationery and miniature keyring products are also included.
An event will also be held to give away items including a book signed by Kim Nando, author of “Trend Korea 2026”. People can participate in an initial-consonant quiz event through Daiso’s official Instagram and blog, and details can be checked on its official social media channels.
An Aseong Daiso official said, “We will continue to introduce products that reflect changing consumer flows and have both practicality and trends.”
