Ai2 has launched an open coding agent, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 27 local time.

The company said its first model, SERA (Soft-verified Efficient Repository Agents), solved more than 55 percent of SWE-Bench Verified problems.

All components of SERA are provided as open source, and developers can use it even without experience with large language models.

SERA was released in two versions with 3.2 billion and 800 million parameters. The company said the 3.2 billion-parameter version outperformed open models such as Qwen3-Coder and closed models such as Mistral3 Devstral Small 2, and the 800 million-parameter version also delivered better results than existing reinforcement learning models.

Ai2 plans to develop stronger models based on SERA.
