Disney+ said on Dec. 4 it will exclusively stream all matches of the 2025 LoL KeSPA Cup, which opens on Dec. 6. Viewers in 11 Asia-Pacific regions, including South Korea, will be able to watch the tournament as the service seeks to expand its reach among esports fans.
Ten teams from Korea’s top-tier League of Legends Champions Korea league will join all-star teams from Japan and Vietnam, along with Cloud9 and Team Liquid from the U.S. professional league, bringing the total to 14 teams. The preliminary round from Dec. 6 to 9 will be held online. The finals from Dec. 11 to 14 will take place at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum. All matches will be available on Disney+ with Korean and English commentary.
Disney+ will add fan-participation content, including character presentations, team videos and viewing certification events. It will also offer prizes such as subscription passes and match tickets.
Disney+ signed an exclusive broadcasting agreement with the Korea e-Sports Association in September and plans to release esports national team content for next year’s Asian Games.
