Honor unveiled a 'robot phone' equipped with a robotic camera arm and its latest foldable smartphone, the Magic V6, CNBC reported on Saturday.

The robot phone offers a function in which the camera pops out of the handset via a robotic arm to track a subject. Linked to an AI assistant, the camera responds directly when a user gives voice commands. Honor is targeting a launch in China in the second half of this year.

The Magic V6 foldable smartphone is 8.75 mm thick, slimmer than the previous model, and uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite fifth-generation chipset. Honor plans to enter global markets in the second half after a March launch in China.

Honor has also signalled it will enter humanoid robots, accelerating its expansion in the AI market.
