[Barcelona, Spain=DigitalToday reporter Jin-ho Lee] SK Telecom will unveil its 'full-stack AI' capabilities spanning artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, models and services at MWC26, which opens on March 2 (local time) in Barcelona, Spain.
The SKT booth is located in the centre of Hall 3 at the event venue, Fira Gran Via. SKT will compete on new technologies there with Samsung Electronics, Intel, Microsoft, Deutsche Telekom and Qualcomm. At an exhibition space of about 992 square metres, it will present a total of 27 items across four zones: AI infrastructure (AI data centres, network AI and marketing AI), AI models, AI services and an AI ecosystem. It will also introduce collaboration cases with domestic and overseas partners.
The theme of the exhibition is 'SKT's AI for Infinite Possibilities.' SKT will install five large transparent LED structures, called the 'Infinite Portal,' at the top of its booth to depict opportunities and possibilities created by AI expanding. It will place a 6-metre antenna-shaped structure called the 'Communication Tower' and an 'AI DC server room' based on a modular AI data centre concept to draw visitors.
It also prepared interactive events. Visitors can drive an RC (remote control) forklift to stack elements symbolising AI infrastructure, models and services, allowing them to experience the concept of full-stack AI. It will also demonstrate 'A.X K1,' a hyperscale AI model with 519B parameters (51.9 billion), the first of its kind in South Korea, which advanced to the second stage of the government's 'independent AI foundation model' project in January.
Kwon Young-sang (권영상), head of SKT's Comm Support Office, said, "The opportunities and possibilities created by AI are completed when the entire process is organically connected," adding, "Through MWC26, we will show what value SKT's full-stack AI can expand into in the global market."
