Box, a corporate content management company, has unveiled Box Extract, which automatically analyzes hidden insights in documents to support corporate decision-making, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 15 local time.

The company said Box Extract uses external AI models such as those from OpenAI, Google and Anthropic to extract meaningful information from business documents such as invoices and contracts. Previously, data in documents had to be analyzed manually, but Box stressed that AI agents enable faster and more precise data extraction.

Box Extract provides two agents. The standard agent focuses on cost-effective data extraction, while the enhanced agent supports in-depth analysis. Companies can choose and use large language models such as Google Gemini 3, OpenAI GPT-5.2 and Anthropic Claude Opus 4.5. Aaron Levie, Box's co-founder and CEO, said, "Many companies are not able to use the insights hidden in documents," adding, "Box Extract will solve this and transform how companies use data."
