A trading error occurred in Toss Securities' mobile trading system (MTS) for U.S. stocks.
The financial investment industry said on Jan. 15 that after the U.S. stock market's regular session opened the previous day, stock information and account balances could not be retrieved on the home screen of Toss Securities' MTS.
The error lasted about 17 minutes from 11:37 p.m. the previous day.
Toss Securities said it had confirmed the issue was a temporary effect during infrastructure work. It apologised for the inconvenience and said it would do its best in system operations to prevent a recurrence.
It added that customers who experienced inconvenience can submit details through the customer centre, and the company plans to provide compensation after review.
