Ripple said its annualised product revenue run rate for 2026 is expected to approach $900 million. It said results are emerging from expanding into payments, custody and stablecoins and from integrating acquired companies and services. With a broader customer base and more regulatory approvals, attention is on whether Ripple can position itself as an institutional financial infrastructure company beyond a simple cross-border remittance provider.

On Oct. 29, local time, blockchain media outlet CoinPost reported that Ripple assessed this year as a "year of success" and announced that its annual product revenue run rate was nearing $900 million.

A run rate is an estimate that annualises revenue performance over a certain period and may differ from actual annual revenue. Ripple said that after focusing in 2025 on strengthening product competitiveness and pursuing strategic acquisitions, it has concentrated this year on integrating acquired businesses with existing services. It said this strategy is leading to revenue growth and business expansion.

Its customer base has also expanded rapidly. Ripple said the number of customers and partner companies using its payments, custody, stablecoin, prime brokerage and treasury management solutions, including BNY and Robinhood, has tripled in 2026. It currently holds more than 85 business licences and provides digital-asset infrastructure to more than 1,700 institutions and companies.

There were also developments in the regulatory framework and institutional finance. Ripple said it recently announced expanded cooperation with BNY and secured final approval related to establishing a U.S. trust bank. It said this lays the groundwork to operate stablecoin RLUSD reserve custody and institutional crypto custody services under a federal supervisory framework.

Ripple Chief Executive Brad Garlinghouse (브래드 갈링하우스) said financial market infrastructure is shifting to modern systems as the combination of traditional finance and digital finance accelerates. He said payments are evolving toward 24-hour real-time processing and tokenised assets are expanding beyond trading into fundraising and collateral use.

Garlinghouse said Ripple is at the centre of these changes. He set out a plan to reduce inefficiencies in the movement of funds within the existing financial system by using digital assets such as XRP. He also presented a goal of building what it calls an "internet of value" by integrating various financial infrastructure, unlike companies that focus on individual technologies or services.

Products launched this year and partnerships it has signed also support business diversification. Ripple launched the "XRPL AI Starter Kit", a development tool to support payments by artificial intelligence agents. It also introduced a platform for stablecoin RLUSD called Ripple Mint, expanding the foundation to support issuance and operations.

In Europe, it secured authorisation under the crypto-asset regulatory framework MiCA and also entered into a partnership with Privy, a Stripe affiliate. Through these moves, Ripple is broadening its business beyond payments and stablecoins to digital-asset custody and services for institutions.

Still, the product revenue run rate should be distinguished from actual annual results, and an increase in customer numbers does not necessarily mean improved profitability. How much broader RLUSD adoption and institutional customer gains translate into actual revenue and profit will be important.

The key issue for Ripple will be whether it can turn its expanded business base into sustainable profit. If it can organically combine stablecoins, institutional custody and digital-asset payment services while strengthening its regulatory response capabilities, it is expected to further expand its position as an infrastructure provider linking traditional finance and the blockchain industry.
