Nexon said on Tuesday it has begun advance reservations for server and character names for Tembbal: Overgeared, a new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) being developed by Gray Games.

The reservation process is conducted on the official website by selecting a desired server and entering a character name. The game has 19 servers in total, including 13 general servers named after the original work and 6 creator servers.

Only 1 character name can be created without duplication across all servers.

Nexon is also running 2 events alongside the reservation. In the "Equipment Advance Reservation" event, participants use tickets to combine materials and craft equipment. Depending on the stage of crafting success, they can receive equipment selection boxes such as "Winston Master Craftsman Khan's Masterpiece" and "Forgotten Legend Grid's Masterpiece".

In "Pagma's Secret Auction House", users can bid on rare character names. If they win, they will be provided with a "name application scroll" for that character name. The two events will run until further notice.

Each server in the game is connected as a single "dimension". Users can move to other dimensions to gather minerals or raid bosses that appear in those areas.

The structure is designed so users can seek out different servers depending on their play style, such as combat, mining and crafting.

Tembbal: Overgeared is an MMORPG in development based on the Tembbal intellectual property (IP), which recorded a combined 1.3 billion views on KakaoPage across its web novel and webtoon. The original work ranked No. 1 in popularity on Asia web novel platform Wuxiaworld, and in Japan's Piccoma it has accumulated 85.28 million likes and won the Piccoma Awards 2023.

Nexon plans to launch Tembbal: Overgeared this year in South Korea and in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau on a PC and mobile cross-platform basis.
