Hecto Healthcare said on Oct. 21 it provided "O2 Booster Fresh" trial packs to finishers at the "2026 Jeongseon Donggang Marathon." The Jeongseon Donggang Marathon is a running event first held last year. This year it operated half-marathon, 10 km and 5 km courses, as well as couple and family run categories, based at the Jeongseon Ecological Experience Learning Center in Jeongseon County.
The trial pack included five sachets of O2 Booster Fresh along with snacks. The company said it was put together so runners who encountered the product at the event could also try it in daily life.
O2 Booster is a healthcare product launched by Hecto Healthcare after its premium probiotics "De Simone." Its ingredient is "SLAB51," a strain combination developed by probiotics researcher Professor Claudio De Simone. Research related to SLAB51 has been published in more than 39 papers in SCI-level international journals, and it is sold in 7 European countries including Germany, Britain and Switzerland. O2 Booster Fresh is a stick-type product containing fine powder.
Hecto Healthcare has supported athletes and recreational sports participants since last year. It donated O2 Booster worth 108 million won to the Jincheon National Training Center. With this marathon sponsorship, the support target expanded from national team athletes to general runners.
Kim Seok-jin (김석진), CEO of Hecto Healthcare, said, "We supported the product to convey our encouragement to runners who ran toward their goals and finished." He added, "From national team athletes to recreational sports participants who enjoy exercise in daily life, we will communicate in various settings and support a healthy lifestyle."
