[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Adobe said on Oct. 19 it has unveiled new interactive editing features through its Adobe plugin in ChatGPT.
Adobe said the update is part of an effort to improve how it provides intuitive yet precise editing and control features, based on tools trusted by creative professionals and in line with advances in AI chatbot platforms. It said it supports users by combining conversational work in ChatGPT with direct editing, enabling fine control depending on the moment and situation.
The company said the update builds on professional-grade creative and productivity tools offered in the existing plugin, with the core focus on enabling users to directly edit images, designs and PDFs. Users can select a specific area of an image in the interactive editor, ask ChatGPT to make changes using the Adobe plugin, and then fine-tune the output with newly introduced control features.
Work context is maintained even as users move between the interactive editor and conversation. Users can also open a PDF, edit text or highlight specific phrases, then pass the document context to ChatGPT to continue the work.
Users can select a specific object or designate an area with a brush to modify only the desired part of an image. They can also make fine adjustments to hue, saturation and contrast using sliders and control features provided for the editing task.
