Nexon has begun operating Season 1 of N Connect, a creator and user participation project linked to Naver’s Chzzk and SOOP.

Nexon said on Oct. 16 it opened the official N Connect page on Oct. 15, allowing users to check in one place programme and participation information previously operated separately on Chzzk and SOOP.

N Connect is a project that links watching broadcasts, playing games and creator activities. It began a pre-season in April on SOOP and in May on Chzzk, and about 450,000 people across the two platforms linked their Nexon accounts.

During the pre-season, 1,414 streamers who joined N Connect were counted based on those rated best or pro and above on each platform. In the final rankings, Chzzk’s Myeongyehunjang and SOOP’s Duchiwappukku took first place on their respective platforms.

For Season 1, the operating system has been integrated around the official page. It provides in one place participation applications, guidance on support programmes, and checks of N Connect points and rankings.

It also broadened the scope of creator support. Eligibility to apply for N Connector content support funds has been expanded to creators of all tiers, and existing monthly support caps by tier have been removed.

Going forward, support levels will be set by individually reviewing submitted content plans rather than channel size.

The N Connector-only drops run on SOOP will also be expanded to Chzzk. Participation will be broadened to include small and mid-sized creators, and viewers can receive Nexon game-related benefits while watching N Connector broadcasts.

It will also run N Connector of the Month, which selects 10 creators each month based on different criteria. Selection will be based on content activity, broadcast time and growth, and it plans to present the regular programme N Connect Week and Nexon original content.

In November, it will hold a participatory event in which users gain experience points by watching Nexon game broadcasts and playing games. It will award play points each time a level increases, and viewers can also participate as N Connectors.

Nexon also plans to continue in Season 1 the reward structure centred on activity, growth and impact that it applied from the pre-season.
