AI inference cloud company FriendliAI and open-source AI development platform Ollama will hold an event on Nov. 4 and 5 with major South Korean companies and developers to share ways to adopt open models and use them in practice.
Ollama co-founder and CEO Jeffrey Morgan (제프리 모건) and others will also visit South Korea.
The two companies will hold separate private events for corporate executives and developers who use open models in practice. They will look at the choices and sovereignty open models offer in corporate AI strategies. They plan to discuss everything from adopting open models to using them in real production environments.
Ollama and FriendliAI will connect their respective strengths to help companies adopt open models. Ollama helps developers easily run and use various open models in the environment they want. It provides an environment that can scale from early experiments to operating real services while maintaining control over data.
FriendliAI provides AI inference technology and infrastructure to run selected models in real production environments quickly, stably and cost-effectively.
Through the event, the two companies will share how their technologies and ecosystems can be used together, from exploring and experimenting with open models to deploying them in corporate environments and operating them at production scale.
FriendliAI CEO Byeong-gon Jeon (전병곤) said, "With the development of open models, companies are facing a new opportunity to choose AI that fits their purpose and environment without being dependent on a specific model or service." He said, "Ollama and FriendliAI can connect each other's strengths from the stage of easily choosing and using open models to the stage of operating them stably in real production environments. Together with Ollama, we want to support more companies in reviewing open models as a practical option and adopting them."
