[DigitalToday reporter Ho-jeong Lee (이호정)] Flyway Games, a unit of Krafton, will launch its new action-adventure platformer "Waltz and Jam" globally on Dec. 3.
Krafton said on Sunday that Flyway Games unveiled a new trailer and announced the release date and supported platforms at the global game showcase "The Triple-i Initiative" on Oct. 9.
"Waltz and Jam" tells the story of a soul named Waltz who wakes up without memories and a soul dog named Jam as they explore the afterlife world called Downtown.
Downtown is built with inspiration from humans' seven deadly sins and is divided into seven chapters, each with a different mood and gimmicks.
In gameplay, players combine toys collected by Waltz with Jam's transformation abilities to solve puzzles and fight. Jam transforms into a ball or a trampoline to support movement and combat.
The game is set to launch simultaneously in PC and console versions via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
The trailer released at the showcase includes scenes of Waltz and Jam exploring Downtown and taking on puzzles and combat.
"The Triple-i Initiative" is a global showcase featuring game developers from around the world. It is run by releasing game trailers in succession without a separate host, and the event introduced the latest information on about 40 games.
A demo version of "Waltz and Jam" is currently playable on Steam.
