Apple is launching a Creator Studio subscription service to support creative work, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 13 local time.

Creator Studio costs $12.99 a month or $129 a year and provides six major apps for video, music and graphic design, along with premium iWork content.

The bundle includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro for Mac and iPad. It also offers Mac-only Motion, Compressor and MainStage. College students and educators can subscribe for $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year. New subscribers can get a one-month free trial.

Apple also added new features to each app included in Creator Studio. Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad adds soundbite search, visual exploration and beat detection, and the iPad version supports Montage Maker and auto crop. Logic Pro includes a synth player, chord identification and natural-language search, and Pixelmator Pro expands to iPad. The bundle also includes Motion for motion-graphics production, Compressor to optimize output settings, and MainStage to turn a Mac into an instrument or vocal processor.
