[DigitalToday reporter Daegeon Seok] Wadiz said on Tuesday it launched a “Global Official Agency Program” that lets overseas makers use, in one place, services needed for funding in Korea. It will also expand partnerships with domestic agencies.

The company said overseas brands face many tasks to introduce products in Korea, from certification and customs clearance to content production, advertising, customer support and delivery. The Wadiz program links them to certified agencies suited to the product type and stage of preparation. It supports funding preparation and operations, as well as later expansion into distribution.

The company plans to maintain cooperation with existing official agencies while widening participation by capable domestic partners. It will select official agencies after a comprehensive review of project execution experience, sector expertise and past maker collaborations. Details and applications are available through the Wadiz Maker Center.

Official agencies can provide services needed by overseas makers based on their experience and expertise, and can also broaden their contacts with new global brands through Wadiz. For overseas makers, it reduces the burden of having to find multiple vendors separately. Another advantage is that they can prepare funding in an organised way with agencies that have experience in the Korean market.

A Wadiz official said, “Many global brands, despite having good products, cannot enter new markets because of the complexity of the localisation process.” The official said, “Wadiz will support innovative products in confirming the potential of the Korean market and moving toward sustained growth, serving as a bridge between vetted Korean agencies and global makers.”
