Korea Startup Forum (KOSFO) said on Sept. 7 it will open a second round of its Claude credits support programme for member companies with Anthropic.

The programme provides credits that can be used for service development and other purposes using Anthropic’s AI model Claude. Selected companies will receive $5,000 worth of credits as a base. Companies that use up those credits will receive an additional $5,000, for a maximum of $10,000.

Eligible applicants are KOSFO full members. KOSFO plans to prioritise AI-native companies that use AI as a core foundation for their products or services. It will also assess whether applicants have a specific plan to use the Claude application programming interface.

About 380 member companies applied for the first round. Of them, about 190 were startups that newly joined KOSFO after the announcement of cooperation with Anthropic. KOSFO explained that the first round closed early as applications came in at a higher-than-expected level.

KOSFO plans to use the second round to expand support programmes that link global AI companies with its members.

KOSFO Chairman Jaewon Kim (김재원) said, "Through participation in the first programme and the increase in new member companies, we confirmed startups' demand for global AI technology." He added, "We hope this support will be used for members' actual businesses and to strengthen AI competitiveness."
