JoyCity said on Thursday it will take part in the North American game show PAX West 2026, being held in Seattle, the United States, through Sept. 7, and will run a dedicated demo booth for its new soccer game Freestyle Football 2.
Visitors can try 5-on-5 matches on site, with five users each controlling one character. Each character has a different position and role, making teamwork and strategic play among teammates important.
Freestyle Football 2 is a game under development based on JoyCity's Freestyle intellectual property. Developers from the existing series are taking part, and it is built around fast match flow, distinctive characters and role-based play by position.
JoyCity is also holding a prime open beta test starting on Thursday to coincide with the opening of PAX West. The test will be available on PC and console platforms, and the company improved gameplay, convenience features and the overall system by reflecting user feedback collected in the previous test.
Freestyle Football 2 is scheduled for a global release within this year.
