Mobility platform Whistle will start a parking enforcement alert service in Buan County, North Jeolla. Whistle said on Thursday the move will expand its coverage in the province to a total of 7 cities and counties, including Namwon, Iksan, Jinan, Gunsan, Wanju and Gochang.

Whistle is a mobility service that lets users access parking enforcement alerts for partner areas nationwide through a single app. Whistle subscribers in Buan can receive free enforcement alerts via app push notifications or KakaoTalk alert messages when their vehicles are captured by CCTV in parking and stopping enforcement zones. Users can use the service in partner areas without additional sign-ups after joining the app and registering their vehicles.

With Buan newly added, users in North Jeolla can use the same service when moving between partner areas without the inconvenience of signing up separately for each area. Buan has tourism resources including Byeonsanbando National Park, Chaeseokgang, Naesosa Temple and Jeokbyeokgang.

Whistle CEO Haejun Jeong (정해준) said he expects local residents as well as visitors to Buan will be able to use the parking enforcement alert service more conveniently. He said Whistle will continue to expand its service areas and strengthen functions that drivers need in practical terms.

Whistle provides services that support drivers' overall vehicle use and management, including parking enforcement alerts. Users can access services needed from vehicle ownership to management and sales through the Whistle app, including the used-car selling service Pickdeal, car price reports, self car washing and vehicle inspections.
