Kiwoom Securities will expand shopping benefits through its mobile trading system (MTS) app, Hero MTS S#. Customers who buy products on Naver Plus Store can receive up to 4 percent of the payment amount back in Kiwoom points.

Kiwoom Securities said on Thursday it has launched a service on Hero MTS S# that lets users earn Kiwoom points when they use Naver Plus Store.

Customers who access Naver Plus Store through Hero MTS S# and purchase products can receive additional Kiwoom points on top of existing Naver rewards, without a separate application.

Recommended brand products earn 4 percent of the payment amount, while other products earn 1.5 percent. Buying a recommended brand product worth 30,000 won can yield up to 1,200 won in Kiwoom points.

Accumulated Kiwoom points can be used like cash to invest in financial products such as fractional domestic shares and funds.

Last year, the company launched a service that gives 2 percent of the payment amount back when customers access Coupang through Hero MTS S# and buy products. Cumulative subscribers to the service surpassed 100,000 as of June 12.

A Kiwoom Securities official said, "We plan to continuously expand our partnership services so customers can conveniently secure shopping benefits within an investment app," adding, "We will also build partnerships with various companies to provide benefits closely tied to daily life."
