Hana Financial\'s 9-month net profit 3.62 trillion won, up 5.6 percent
Hana Financial Group posted a consolidated net profit of 3.62 trillion won for the first nine months, up 5.6 percent from a year earlier, helped by rising fee income in wealth management and investment banking. Third-quarter net profit was 1.22 trillion won. The board approved an additional 250 billion won in share buybacks and cancellation and a third-quarter cash dividend of 1,165 won per share.

Hana Financial Group is working with Dunamu to test card payments and merchant settlement technology using stablecoins. The project tests whether customers can pay with various stablecoins held in an Upbit wallet and whether merchant settlement cycles can be shortened in real time. Hana Card is taking part. The companies plan to apply the technology to an actual payment service once relevant制度 are in place.

Woori Bank posts 18.4 percent Q3 returns on DC retirement pension products
Woori Bank recorded an 18.4 percent return in the third quarter on non-principal-protected defined contribution retirement pension products, the highest among the top 10 providers by retirement pension assets across banking, securities and insurance, it said. Its individual retirement pension return was 18.3 percent, ranking third. The bank said both DC and IRP rankings rose by one place from the previous quarter.
