B&H signs MOU with National Police Workplace Council to protect police officers\' rights

The National Police Workplace Council and law firm B&H signed a memorandum of understanding to improve the rights and interests of police officers. The signing ceremony was held on April 22 at the National Police Agency’s Chamsuri conference room. Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in four areas: legal advice and consultation, legal responses to civil and criminal cases, running education and seminars, and legislative consulting related to system improvements.

SKT adds family care feature to A.Dot Phone to alert guardians of suspected voice phishing

SK Telecom said on April 27 it will add a \"family care\" feature to its A.Dot Phone service to alert guardians immediately when AI detects suspected voice phishing during a call. Police Agency statistics showed 5,878 voice phishing cases in the first quarter of 2025, up 17 percent from a year earlier, while average losses per case rose 188 percent to 53.01 million won. Users can register up to 10 guardians, who receive alerts by push notification and SMS or SMS only.

Naver Webtoon, Kakao Entertainment and other rights holders close overseas piracy site TuMangaOnline

Naver Webtoon, Kakao Entertainment and other major South Korean webtoon rights holders, working with the Copyright Overseas Promotion Association (COA), have shut down the Spanish-language piracy site TuMangaOnline and multiple related sites, they said on April 27. The action was carried out by Spanish judicial authorities and is described as the first case in which Korean rights holders directly responded overseas under local law and achieved results. The case is heading toward the opening of a formal criminal trial.
