Apple tests Face ID in iPhone Duo2 prototype, Bloomberg says
Apple is testing Face ID on prototypes of its next foldable phone, the iPhone Duo2, by placing sensors under the external display, according to Bloomberg\'s Mark Gurman as cited by 9to5Mac. The first-generation iPhone Duo used Touch ID on the power button, which some users found disappointing. Reports say an ultra-thin design limited Face ID integration. Apple is said to be shrinking Face ID components, but adoption in a 2027 model is not assured.
