Binance partners with STOP THE TRAFFIK to tackle human trafficking crime
Binance has signed a partnership with global non-profit STOP THE TRAFFIK, which works to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery. Binance said on July 24 the partnership aims to detect early illicit fund flows linked to trafficking and exploitation crimes and to strengthen user protection and compliance capabilities. Binance will receive specialist information, expert insights and tailored training. The cooperation also covers staff awareness, new crime detection and stronger compliance and investigative capabilities.

U.S. senator urges keeping developer protections in CLARITY Act, key dispute emerges
U.S. Democratic Senator Ron Wyden (론 와이든) urged Senate leaders to retain a provision protecting blockchain developers in the CLARITY Act, a crypto market structure bill. The dispute has widened between calls to provide legal clarity for developers and concerns it could weaken oversight of illicit finance. Wyden wants Section 604, known as the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act, included in the final text. Law enforcement groups and civic organisations warn the exemption could be too broad.

Social media influencer Andrew Tate suffered about $95,478 in losses after taking a high-leverage bitcoin trade on decentralised derivatives exchange Hyperliquid, according to reports and on-chain data. He built a 57.36 BTC long position using 40x leverage, then faced eight liquidations in 24 hours as bitcoin fell ahead of a Federal Reserve rate decision. After closing the position, he opened a 14.33 BTC short, also at 40x leverage.
