China automakers roll out 650 new models in first half of year

Chinese automakers released about 650 new cars and updated models in the first half of this year, averaging about four vehicles a day and outpacing the United States. InsideEV reported the launches covered new, facelifted and model-year changes. Data from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center showed about 30 entirely new models a month with no prior registration history. BYD Vice President He Zhiqi called the pace “completely crazy.”
