Databricks unveils Unity AI Gateway tool to control AI costs
Databricks has released Unity AI Gateway, a tool designed to help companies control AI spending, Axios reported on June 16. The company introduced the product after confirming that some customers unintentionally spent tens of millions of dollars on AI costs in a single month. As AI agents spread without human oversight, AI usage can rise and costs can exceed budgets. Existing cloud cost tools often flag overspending only after it occurs.
