KakaoGames gives first in-game reveal of ArcheAge S, targets Q2 launch next year

KakaoGames has released first in-game footage and core systems for its new PC MMORPG ArcheAge S: The Strait of Freedom. The company said it introduced combat, progression and life-skill content in a roughly 17-minute development documentary featuring executive producer Kim Kyung-tae and other developers, along with OST music director Yoon Sang. KakaoGames will also run a user Q&A and later disclose more details. The game targets a global launch in the second quarter next year, with overseas service based on Steam.

Mega MGC Coffee signs MOU with CJ ENM on performance and cultural activities

MGC Global, which operates Mega MGC Coffee, said on Feb. 13 it signed a memorandum of understanding with CJ ENM on social contribution through performance and cultural activities. Executives from both sides attended a signing ceremony in Seoul on Feb. 12. The companies agreed to work to improve access to performances and cultural activities and provide cultural experiences to local communities and underprivileged groups. They plan a K-pop concert in May.
