Apple pushes return to server market targeting AI demand, aims for 2029 launch
Apple is developing enterprise servers based on Nvidia networking equipment and its own chips, The Information reported, citing people familiar with internal details. The company plans to sell the servers to AI developers, companies and governments, the report said. Two models are under review, combining two M8 Ultra chips in a smaller version and four in a larger version. Apple is targeting a 2029 launch, but the project could be cancelled or proceed without Nvidia technology.
