Ripple impersonation sites surge; XRP stolen the moment wallet approval is given
A fake website closely mimicking Ripple’s official site is spreading phishing attacks targeting XRP holders. The site uses Ripple-like design elements and messages aimed at long-term holders to push users to click a “Get Early Access” button and approve a wallet transaction. Once approved, XRP is immediately drained. The case is reported as part of a series of phishing attacks in early August across the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

3.4 million XRP vanishes in investor phishing case, warnings issued
Phishing attempts targeting XRP users are spreading, prompting XRP-related projects and wallet services to issue warnings. Xora Finance warned that fake websites mimicking Flare Network and other XRP brands are circulating. Its founder said a South Korean fraud group is targeting the XRP community. Seoul police said a fake Flare Network staking site stole 3.4 million XRP from 71 investors, with losses put at about $8.5 million.

XRP holders may earn 5 to 10 percent as lending and DeFi options expand
A forecast says XRP holders could earn annual returns of 5 to 10 percent within the next few years as new financial infrastructure takes hold. Kevin Cage, who has invested in XRP since 2017, said yield opportunities could expand through crypto lending, institutional products, tokenised real-world assets and cross-chain strategies. He warned against DeFi strategies promising more than 20 percent a year, saying such returns typically carry greater risk.
